Tarulli Group OP has been producing and trading ORGANIC TABLE GRAPES since 1993. Dr. Tarulli, thanks to his personal attention to this field, came up with the idea of converting the traditional experience in grape farming to organic farming, thus starting a new era into Biological by means of new techniques in grapes’ cultivation.
Tarulli Group OP was founded in 2007 after the merging of several companies. The increase in both quantity and quality of production lead, therefore, to the legal form of a PO for the already existing reality: a producers’ organization!
The company is located in Puglia, mostly between the provinces of Bari and Taranto.
The relationship between grapes and Puglia has ancient but venerable origins: thanks to the breeding ground, pleasant climate and excellent position which are quintessential for grapes farming.
Dr. Tarulli has converted his company to Organic Farming, giving value to the experience passed down over several generations in traditional agriculture. Organic farming excludes the use of pesticides, fertilizers and other chemical products and instead adopts composted organic materials and natural minerals for fertilization and protection. This strong attention to the environmental impact of farming, leads to the adoption of natural and renewable energy sources aimed at avoiding pollution. This process is well monitored by means of appropriate verification systems and water employment.
The strong environmental ethics is manifest also in the endless research of sustainable, biodegradable and reusable packaging parallel to the conventional ones Tarulli Group OP produces and trades approximately 7,000 tons of ORGANIC TABLE GRAPES in its 350 hectares of vineyards. Furthermore, it offers a wide range of varieties of grapes which are different in color, taste, harvest times and for the presence or absence of seeds. Ensuring its customers SEEDLESS GRAPES for 5 consecutive months while offering a number of new varieties, is the natural consequence of the subscription of contracts with some international grape
breeders.
CCPB is the Supervisory System for Organic Control is, which is in charge of checking that all the rules are respected according to the most recent Reg. EEC and serves as a great assurance for the customer. In addition, the Group and his hectares are certified BIO SUISSE and DEMETER which are remarkable Organic
certifications. DEMETER, in particular, certificates that fertilization, cultivation and farming comply with fertility and vitality of the soil and surrounding ecosystem.
In order to improve delivery times and preserve the freshness of the product, the Group cooperates with the biggest logistic companies in Europe. The product is delivered to the European large retail sector, both with the Group’s brand or a customized one.
Tarulli Group OP has created a system of complete TRACEABILITY following the rules of the most recent Reg. EEC that allows the tracing of the entire track of a product: from the field of the individual producer where it has been cultivated (sheet and particle) to the date of packaging, to its coding up until its arrival.
